Our Story
Where It All Began

Where It All Began

Paleo Beef Direct was founded in 2010 as a solution for our family to make ends meet during severe drought that we were experiencing at the time.We are generational cattle producers with properties around Proston, Hivesville , Kingaroy, Windera and Boubyjan in the South Burnett Region of QLD. Originally coined by Ian and Karen Newson , PBD is currently owned and managed by Ian and Karen alongside their son Daniel and his partner Stef. Being cattle producers we originally only sold beef , but as the business has grown we have branched out into lamb and pork as well.


Throughout the years we have continued to vertically integrate our business, adding our own delivery services in 2023. This includes transporting carcases from the small country slaughterhouse we use to our butcher shop and delivering product to our valued customers across QLD and beyond.


At the start of 2025 we made the huge step to purchase our own butcher shop and now employ approximately 7 local staff members.
