Our Family Farm

Our Family Farm

Hi there

Welcome to Wakedale Farm, we are brad and Jess and are passionate farmers and advocates for Agriculture in Western Australia, we live, breathe and love livestock farming!

we want to share our lives and story with you all and show people what we do on a daily basis. We are a true family farm we breed our livestock on farm and they spend their whole lives with us. Our kids Katie, Scotty and Willba love the freedom that growing up on a farm provides and one that we experienced ourselves growing up, we teach, work and grow alongside each other and are still provided with guidance from Ron our resident 2nd Gen farmer.


Always striving to improve and to educate ourselves we strive to produce a constantly excellent product for our customers and provide exceptional customer service, we have worked towards offering our products direct to the consumer for many years and through trial and error have learnt how best service our community and provide these products from our far to you.

Meet Our Cattle and Sheep

Years of breeding expertise, passion and a desire for an outstanding breeding herd have combined to bring you our black angus Cattle, we utilise the best Genetics available through our AI program and purchasing bulls from quality angus studs have ensured we have an amazing mob of cows. We have a focus on docility and confirmation within our herd which has created quiet, calm happy cows that are a pleasure to both be around and to work with. Working alongside our children we knew that we had to create a animal that was safe for them to be around and create a legacy for us to hand down to them.

Our prime lambs are a second crossbred lamb known for their quality and taste. A traditional Mix of Border leister, Poll Dorset and Merino we carefully select our rams from ourstanding WA studs and have a focus on carcass quality and confirmation leading to a strong healthy sheep that breeds outstanding lamb.

One of the reasons we love to share our beef and lamb with customers is because we always get feedback about the amazing quality and taste of our products, being able to share that feedback with Ron and Brad and seeing how proud they are makes my day! As livestock producers in WA we don't receive feedback from the end consumer about what they thought of our work, our passion and our skills when selling through the larger channels having that feedback now provides us with drive and a sense of pride that what we do is valued and enjoyed.

Meet Brad and Jess

Brad, a third-generation farmer on Wakedale Farm, he adores agriculture and is always striving to improve not only his livestock but the farm as a whole.

Jess brings with her a degree in Agribusiness Marketing and her deep love for agriculture, cooking, and customer service.

Between Brad producing an outstanding product and Jess making it user-friendly, connecting with customers, and sharing information with the wider community, they’ve built a brand that is constantly growing, and evolving. Their drive, passion, and complementary skills make Wakedale Farm stand out as distinctive.

Wakedale Farm

The Beautiful Wakedale Farm is located in Beermullah just north of Gingin an area known for its solid rainfall and lush pastures. Our Farm comprises of 3000ac with an additional 2000ac located an hour north in the picturesque Badgingarra. We breed Black Angus Cattle and produce Prime lamb. Our farm comprises of several soil types and we manage each separately depending on their needs, always striving to improve soil and pasture health we farm for a better future so our children will be handed down a farm that is in better condition than what we started with.

In 2025 we took a leap of faith and entered the WA royal food awards, to have our lamb judged by chefs, butchers and food critics, we hoped to get feedback on how our lamb could be improved from the perspective of industry leaders who know exceptional meat.

The results blew us away taking out the award for Champion Lamb was something we never expected below is an extract from the judge's feedback

"Amazing quality, beautifully tender, flavourful is amazing Such an enjoyable piece of meat, pleasure to eat. Barely had to chew it was so tender and juicy. Hard to flaw anything"
