Akaushi is a rare breed of Wagyu originating from the Kumamoto region of Japan. Akaushi provides the marbling that Wagyu is renowned for whilst also having a strong beefy flavour.
Unlike Black Wagyu, Akaushi have the ability to grow and marble on grass instead of an intensive feed program.
