Pasture Raised is so much better than free range as our chickens are out on our regenerated pastures 24/7. Our chickens are very healthy hens, with access to luscious, tall, diverse forage, they can live their life naturally. The chicken trailers to perch and nest in that we move around the paddocks very regularly regenerating the land and giving the birds constant access to fresh pasture.
We have 3 beautiful maremma dogs protecting the birds from predators. The hens also have 24/7 access to a dietary made no grind grain mix to meet all their necessary requirements. This mix is soy-free, corn free, GMO free and has added calcium and probiotics to ensure good gut health.We raise the chicks on farms so they can be out on pasture earlier and learn to perch and forage. There is no beak trimming as many other chicken farms use so the birds can forage properly in their natural environment
