Our Story

Our Story

NGR Meats is a collective of young regenerative farmers from the Central West of NSW who got tired of watching supermarkets stand between their produce and the people who actually want it.

Will runs 350 acres outside Dubbo, raising heritage breed pigs and pasture-raised hens on open pasture, chemical-free. Joe Kerin of Kerin Agriculture in Yeoval breeds exceptional grass-fed Wagyu on a grass-to-cash philosophy — Will has eaten it personally and the quality is outstanding. The Maynard family farm organic saltbush lamb near Narromine — Bruce won the 2025 National Landcare Award for his commitment to soil health. Frank Zeraf moved from the coast to the Central West to build his halal goat operation from scratch, breeding Boer and Kalahari Red genetics suited to Australian conditions. Our venison comes from a young local accredited shooter, sustainably harvesting wild deer right here in the Central West.

Our animals

Our animals

Every animal in the NGR collective is raised the same way — with respect for the land, the animal, and the person eating it.

Our heritage breed pigs roam 350 acres outside Dubbo on open pasture, rotated onto fresh ground. Berkshire, Duroc, Hampshire, Saddleback and Large White — bred for flavour, raised for welfare. Our pasture-raised hens follow the same rotation, 20 per hectare on fresh grass every week.

Joe Kerin's Wagyu graze on native and improved pasture in Yeoval — grass-fed, grass-finished, bred to convert grass to cash. Superior growth rates, optimal carcase weights, no feedlot.

The Maynards' saltbush lamb near Narromine grows on native shrub country — producing naturally marbled, deeply flavoursome meat, chemical-free.

Frank Zeraf combines wild goat genetics with modern Boer and Kalahari Red bloodlines to create animals built for Australian conditions — chemical-free, halal-certified, and raised right here in the Central West.

Our venison is wild-caught feral deer, susta

Our Meat

Our Meat

Every cut of NGR meat starts with one standard — the animal was raised right, on real pasture, by a farmer we know personally.

Grass-fed Wagyu from Yeoval. Organic saltbush lamb from Narromine. Pasture-raised heritage pork from outside Dubbo. Chemical-free halal goat from the Central West. Wild-harvested venison straight from the NSW bush. Five proteins, five young farmers, one commitment — no hormones, no antibiotics, no chemicals, nothing hidden.

All our meat is processed at licensed facilities, then vac-sealed and snap-frozen to lock in freshness at its peak. No preservatives. No additives. No nitrates. What you defrost is exactly what left the paddock.

When you order a share, you receive the full animal — not just the premium cuts. Steaks, roasts, slow-cook cuts, mince, sausages — every part handled properly, packed into practical portions, ready for your freezer.

Central West meat, grown by young farmers who give a damn, sold direct with no supermarket in between. Just quality

Our Farm

Our Farm

Our expertise isn't a marketing line — it's earned through years of working Central West country.

Will has spent years developing regenerative farming systems on 350 acres outside Dubbo — running annual soil carbon testing through Agriprove, managing rotational grazing for pigs and poultry, and processing meat on-farm from paddock to pack.

Joe Kerin is Studmaster at Kerin Agriculture and presented at WagyuEdge'26 — the Australian Wagyu Association Conference — on next-gen Wagyu technology. His breeding program converts Central West pasture into premium carcase weights with maximum efficiency.

Bruce Maynard is a 2025 National Landcare Award winner, recognised nationally for soil health and landscape restoration work near Narromine.

Frank Zeraf has built a unique genetic program combining wild and modern bloodlines — developing animals specifically suited to Australian conditions.

Together, this collective represents some of the most dedicated young producers working in the Central

Our History

Our History

NGR Meats started with a simple idea: that the best food in the Central West of NSW shouldn't have to travel through a supermarket to reach the people who want it.

Will grew up learning to butcher on the family farm — skills passed down from his grandfather that most people have lost entirely. That connection between land, animal, and table became the foundation of everything NGR stands for.

What started as pasture-raised eggs and heritage pork on 350 acres outside Dubbo has grown into a collective of young regenerative farmers across the Central West — beef, lamb, goat, venison — each one hand-picked, personally known, and sharing the same values.

No chemicals. No hormones. No middlemen. Just real food from real farmers, sold direct to the people who give a damn about where it comes from.

That's always been the idea. It still is.

Our Farm Practices

Our Farm Practices

Across the NGR collective, every farm runs on the same standard — chemical-free, land-first, no shortcuts.

NGR Farm outside Dubbo runs rotational grazing for both pigs and chickens. Chickens at 20 hens per hectare, rotated weekly onto fresh ground. Pigs roam 350 acres. Soil carbon is measured annually through Agriprove. Nine Maremma dogs manage predators naturally.

Kerin Agriculture in Yeoval runs Wagyu on native and improved Central West pasture — grass-fed, grass-finished, converting pasture to premium carcase weight.

Maynard's near Narromine raises saltbush-grown organic lamb on restored landscape, zero chemicals. Bruce won the 2025 National Landcare Award for soil health and landscape restoration.

Frank Zeraf combines wild goat genetics with Boer and Kalahari Red bloodlines — chemical-free, halal-certified, built for Australian conditions.

Our venison is wild-harvested by an accredited shooter across Central West NSW.

Why Buy From Us

Why Buy From Us

Every farmer in the NGR collective shares one belief — healthy soils grow healthy animals, and healthy animals grow healthy humans. It's that simple.

We're family-owned farms from the Central West of NSW. Young farmers building something meaningful and sustainable, not just for ourselves but for the generation coming after us.

Our mission goes beyond good food. We want to prove that young regenerative farmers can build profitable, direct-to-consumer businesses — so Australian agriculture isn't entirely dependent on big commercial operations.

Because when times get tough — drought, supply chain breakdown, rising costs — the people with a direct link to a farmer will always eat well.

That link is what NGR Meats is. A collective of young Central West farmers, selling direct to you, with no middleman in between.

Healthy soils. Healthy animals. Healthy humans. That's our purpose — and yours is on the other end of it.
