Keep for yourself or split with family and friends - purchasing a whole, butchered beast offers economic savings, saves time, and provides peace of mind that you'll always have meat on hand for dinner. It also allows you to enjoy all cuts of meat including those you might not ordinarily buy on their own. A whole beast provides 200kg (dressed weight) of beef.
You will receive a whole beast including:
Brisket, Roasts, Corned beef/silverside, Eye fillet, Rib fillet, T Bone, Rump, Osso Bucco, Mince, Sausages, Steakettes, Diced beef, Ribs, Offal, Fat and Trimmings and Bones.
Boxed weight can be anywhere from 30% to 40% less than dressed weight.
The final amount of meat you receive is heavily influenced by your “cut and pack” choices.
The final amount of meat you recieve will be influenced by the size of the cow and the ‘cut up’ choices you make.
Asking for all your cuts “boned out” will result in a lower boxed weight! It doesn’t mean the farmer or butcher stole your beef!
With Farmer to Fridge, it’s important to understand exactly what you’re buying.
Unlike a supermarket where you can choose specific cuts, a whole animal will come with a range of meat cuts.
The choices on the cut sheet (Click Customise and Purchase) help the butcher prepare your mixed portion to be as close as possible to your specifications.
